Most of us are familiar with the concept of organic farming.
Basically it means that the fruit is produced without using any synthetic fertilisers or pesticides and with the extensive use of composting and other non intrusive methods to enhance the health of the soil.
Biodynamics takes organics to another, more holistic level. As well as following organic growing techniques it also uses biodynamic “preparations’ – a rather complex series of sprays and composting and also takes into account the timing of the operations in the vineyard, using lunar cycles and the like.
