How do I Create a Wine Label

Creating a custom wine label for a personalised wine gift for a family member, friend or for your business customers can be a fun and rewarding endeavour. And at The Wine Point, we’re here to help.

Label style, or look and feel, is important. Do you want something sleek and modern or something a bit old fashioned (the older a birthday bottle recipient gets the older it might look!).

If you’re designing for your company or organisation, it’s important that the label reflects your brand too.
If you send us style guides our designers can follow fonts and colours and design something reflecting your brand.

You need to be aware of some legal requirements too. There should be contact details (we will add out website address on all labels) as well as alcohol content and standard drinks. We also add country of origin details because we’re proud of pour local winemaking industry.

Designing labels is part of our service, so just send us any images and text you’d like to use and we’ll put proofs together for you.

But we also understand that many people like designing so we’re more than happy to let you go for it. Our standard label templates on our site (examples here) are either 7×10 cm or 10x10cm, but we’re flexible too, with size and shape. As long as the label fits on the bottle we can produce it, but best to get in touch so we can confirm the artwork and file types that are best.

To make your wine label truly unique, consider adding personalised touches such as custom artwork or QR codes linking to additional content.

The cost? Well, not very much really. Our single bottles start from $40 but there are significant discounts for volume. Please don’t hesitate to drop us a line at sales@thewinepoint.com.au or via our quote page here.
